Hello friends, today I’m going to tell you the story of Jonah and the whale for children, also known as Jonah and the big fish, or how many things happened to Jonah for not keeping his promises.
In this story originally written in the Bible, we’ll see a moral lesson showing the importance of keeping your promises.

Jonah and The Whale – Bible Stories For Kids
Once upon a time, there was a very good man named Jonah who was chosen to speak about God in a city called Nineveh where the people behaved very badly.
Jonah knew that the inhabitants of Nineveh were wicked, and he was very afraid to go.
So, even though he knew where the city was, he decided to take a boat in the opposite direction.
On the way, a very strong storm arose. The waves were so turbulent that the boat was about to capsize.
Jonah shouted to the sailors,
– Throw me into the sea! It’s all my fault, and God is punishing me.
The sailors didn’t want to do that, so Jonah jumped off the boat.
The moment Jonah fell into the water, the storm stopped, and everything became calm again.
But a whale had swallowed Jonah!!!
– Help me! – Jonah shouted, very scared.
– God, please forgive me for disobeying! – Jonah shouted again.
Three days and three nights passed, and Jonah was still inside the whale.
Every day, repentant, he asked God for forgiveness for disobeying.
And on the third day, the whale finally vomited Jonah onto an island.
He was very grateful and promised God that he would go to Nineveh and would never disobey again.
That’s it, little friend. Remember to keep your promises so that you won’t have problems later with the others involved.
