Hello, friends! Today’s short story for children is Aesop’s fable or La Fontaine’s fable “The Lion and the Mouse.”
Like many fables for children, the tale of the lion and the mouse has a moral that I’ll let you discover at the end of the story.

A little mouse woke up a lion from his nap. He was scared the lion would eat him, but he didn’t— the lion let him go.
Another day, the lion got trapped in a net. The little mouse, alarmed by the lion’s roars, came to help. But how could someone so small help such a big animal?
The tiny mouse started chewing the ropes of the net until the lion was able to walk free, grateful to his new little friend.
Everyone—even the biggest—may one day need help from someone else, even the smallest.
